The Best Review I've Ever Had

My new poetry collection has its first review. It is, I'm pretty certain, the best review I've ever had. So good, I hardly know what to say and almost feel embarrassed to quote from it. You can read for yourself. It was published on Thursday on the Eyewear blog while I was away at the Writing On The Wall festival in Liverpool. I've been off line since I got back and just read the review now.

The reviewer, Todd Swift, says you should buy the book. You can do so here.

Off to Liverpool: Danny Morrision, Tim Brannigan & Me

I'll be in Liverpool on May 8th for an interesting panel discussion. The even is part of 'Shell Shock' - this year's Writing On The Wall festival.

“Three Irish writers from radical traditions, Danny Morrison, novelist and former publicity director for Sinn Féin, Tim Brannigan, Guardian journalist and author of Where are you really from? and Kevin Higgins, radical poet and author of Time Gentlemen, Please will be exploring how identity, politics and conflict is represented in their work and how their experience has shaped their writing.”
